How does Metis create a card from a word I search?
Type a word or phrase in either the language you're learning or your native language. Metis detects which one it is, translates it, and generates a meaning and example sentence. Review the preview and save it as a Memory Card.
How does review scheduling work?
Metis uses spaced repetition. Each card climbs a ladder of review intervals (1, 2, 4, then 7 days) each time you recall it correctly. Miss one, and it holds at the same interval rather than starting over. A card graduates to Learned the first time you recall it after a full week without seeing it.
I deleted my account by mistake / I want my data removed.
You can delete your account and all associated data (words, reviews, collections) at any time from Profile → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. If you no longer have the app, see getmetisapp.com/delete-account for how to request deletion by email.
Notifications aren't arriving.
Check Profile → Notifications and make sure Review Reminders and/or Nudges are turned on, and that notifications are allowed for Metis in your device's system Settings. Reminders only fire when you actually have cards due; Nudges fire on the schedule you pick.
How do widgets work?
Add the Metis widget from your device's widget gallery to see your due and recent cards on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. No extra setup inside the app.
